Nostalgia Nuggets For 05/25/25
Nostalgia Nuggets is where I like to share a curated list of retro & nostalgia-themed articles, stories, and posts that I’ve come across in the little bit. It gives you a chance to escape the daily grind, and just sit back and pass the time reading about what we call the good old days. So with that in mind, here are some things I wanted to share with you.
Welcome back to Nostalgia Nuggets here at Retro Ramblings. It’s been three weeks since I published the last one of these curated links posts, and even longer since I published an article or essay.
It’s been a rough stretch for me as my Dad passed away at the beginning of the month of May. As you would imagine, it was a difficult time dealing with the grief and then everything else that comes along with that.
Then the day after Dad’s memorial, my best friend passed away suddenly as well. To say my desire and time to write just wasn’t there is a bit of an understatement.
But time heals all wounds as they say, so it’s time to get back into the saddle and start writing and publishing again, so here we go.
I’m going to start off this edition by directing you to a recent issue of This Nostalgic Life that we dedicated solely to the essay I wrote right after my Dad passed. It certainly has retro tones to it as it details a lot of things from through the years. It ended up being my tribute to him in written form I guess.
My Last Conversation With My Dad (This Nostalgic Life)
And if I would have published an edition of Nostalgia Nuggets last week, I would have certainly touched on Mr. T, as his birthday was this past week. So let me make up for that by pointing you to a couple of articles I wrote for The Retro Network once upon a time…
Fascinating Facts About Mr. T (The Retro Network)
Saturday Morning Memories: Mr. T Cartoon (The Retro Network)
Now let’s get on with the rest of the links to retro and nostalgia related posts, articles, and essays I’ve coe across recently that I think you will enjoy.
